Artist Bio
Eddie Alfaro is a prolific, self-taught artist whose dynamic black marker drawings capture the organic essence of the natural world. Known for his distinctive depictions of flowers, animals, birds, and trees, Eddie has been creating art since the age of four, developing a unique visual language that celebrates both spontaneity and intricate detail.
With roots in the vibrant New York art scene, Eddie gained recognition in the early 2000s as the street artist “Rab,” leaving his mark throughout Williamsburg, Brooklyn and Manhattan. His work has been featured in notable exhibitions at the iconic Limelight Nightclub and the Glass House Gallery in Williamsburg.
Eddie’s artistic approach is characterized by an energetic creative process that channels the fluid, organic shapes found in nature. Working primarily with Sharpie markers and other black media on paper, he creates pieces that pulse with life and movement. The immediacy of his chosen medium complements his intuitive style, allowing him to capture fleeting moments of inspiration.
Based on Long Island, New York, Eddie holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from St. John’s University and is an alumnus of Lawrence High School in Cedarhurst. His academic background in literature informs the narrative quality often present in his visual work.
